The 3rd Match of VIVO IPL season 12 2019, MI vs DC was played on Super Sunday 24th Mar 2019 in Wankhede stadium, Mumbai. Mumbai Indians (MI) won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Prithvi Shaw and Sikhar Dhawan came to crease to open the inning. But McClenaghan departed Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer in two consecutive over. Sikhar Dhawan batted slow and steadily with Ingram to built a partnership of 83 runs. Ben Cutting break the partnership by departing Ingram on 47runs(7 fours, a six) of 32 balls. Dhawan scored slow and steady 43 runs (4 fous, 1 six) of 36 balls. Pant at the end played some magnificent shots which helped DC to set a score of 213-6 in 20 overs. Pant remained unbeaten and scored 78 runs (7 fours, 7 sixes) of 27 balls.

MI Inning in MI VS DC 2019

Rohit Sarmah and Quinton de Kock started aggressively but Ishant Sharma departed Rohit in the fourth over of match. After Rohit's wicket MI started losing wickets at regular intervals. And Ishant Sharma departed de Kock on 27 runs of 16 balls.

Yuyraj and keron Polard tried to score quick and built a partnership of 50 runs. But Polard couldn't score more than 21 runs of 13 balls. Krunal Pandya played comfortably but Trent Boult departed on 32 runs (5 fours, a six) of 15 balls. Yuvraj Singh at one end scored runs but at the other end wickets falling at regular intervals. As a result of which MI scored 176-10 in 19.2 overs and lose the match by 37 runs. Yuvraj scored 53 runs (5 fours, 3 sixes) of 35 balls but at the end was also departed by Rabada.
