They kept losing wickets at quick intervals but a crucial knock played by Ryan Parag who scored 50 runs of 49 balls helped the team to cross the 100 run mark and set a total of 115-9 in 20 overs and no batsman other than Livingstone and Shreyas Gopal could score 2 digit run. The bowlers bowled really well and didn't allow any batsman to attack where Amit Mishra and Ishant Sharma picked 3 wickets each. Boult got 2 wickets.

DC couldn't start well as both the openers got out in the 4th overs bowled by Ish Sodhi in his first 2 balls. DC scored 46 runs in the powerplay.  Shreyas Iyer tried to explode but was departed by Shreyas Gopal on 15 runs (2 sixes) of 9 balls. Than a matured inning by Rishab Pant leads the team to get a comfortable win with his 53 runs (2 fours, 5 sixes) of 38 balls as they scored 121-5 in 16.2 overs. The bowlers tried well but the target was too little to defend where Ish Sodhi picked 3 wickets and Shreyas Gopal got 2 wickets.
