MS Dhoni's Retirement rumours raised after MSK Prasad's press conference the current chief selector of team India. AS he was not picked for the T20 squad for the series against Bangladesh so a picture may be depicted describing the end of Dhoni's cricketing career.
His unavailability in the series after World Cup 2019 against West Indies and South Africa is also used as an indicator of his retirement. In the press conference MSK Prasad also speak about trying some new faces along with Rishab Pant as wicketkeeper for T20 World Cup 2020.

He has not played even a single match after World Cup this year neither international nor domestic matches. Dhoni might not in a mood to take retirement from any format of cricket including IPL. He has not announced his retirement from cricket officially. So it's clear that it's just a rumor regarding MS Dhoni's Retirement.

He has served Indian Cricket for more than 10 years which itself most precious for every cricket fan. During the period he played 90 Test matches and scored 4876 runs in 144 innings. And registered 33 half-centuries and 6 hundred with 224 runs as his best in Test cricket. He has played around 350 ODIs to score 10773 runs. with 73 half-centuries and 10 hundred. And his highest individual 183 runs against Pakistan in 2003 is just magnificent.
And finally, his T20 career may not end up with 98 matches and 1617 runs with 2 half-centuries and a high score of 56 runs. Despite these batting figures Team India will also miss that match finishing ability which helped the team to win most of the crucial matches.

He is one of those captains of Indian Cricket who took the team from bottom to top in every format of the game. He is the only one who have won every ICC tournament right from the beginning such as T20 World Cup 2007, World Cup 2011 as well as Champions Trophy in 2014. And after serving for more than 10 years he stepped down as captain in 2017 from T20 and Odis, earlier in 2014 from Test cricket.
