ICC officially announced it's ODI Team of the Year 2019 on 15th Jan 2020. Whereas ICC ODI Squad includes players from all around the world where 4 Indian players were added including Virat as Captain. And selected Rohit Sharma as one of the openers for his magnificent performance in 2019. Along with Shai Hope as another opener from the West Indies.

ICC included Virat as captain in the no.3 and Babar Azam the only player from Pakistan in at no.4. Whereas Kane Williamson in at no.5 along with the only allround player from England Ben Stokes. Another English player Jos Butler made its appearance as the wicket-Keeper batsman for the year 2019.

Bowlers in Team of the Year 2019

Bowlers play an important role along with the batsman. So ICC included two of the wicket-taking bowlers Kuldeep Yadav and M. Shami from India. Kuldeep was the only spinner in the team along with Shami. And Mitchell Starc as the only player from Australia along with Trent Boult from New Zealand.

And some huge names like Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni who was ICC Captain of the decad didn't able to make their place in the eleven. Whereas players like Jofra Archer along with Chris Woakes who made England win the World Cup 2019 were excluded from the squad.
