The ODI series between India and New Zealand which started from the 5th of Feb 2020 in Hamilton. The 3 match ODI series started after the T20 Series where India beat New Zealand for the first time in the T20I series.

And New Zealand came from a devastating T20 series and Kane Williamson ruled out for 2 matches. So Tom Latham leads the team in the first 2 matches. Though Rohit Sharma was ruled out from the series and India batted with 2 debutantes Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal.

Both of them opened the inning for team India but couldn't make an impact and departed early. But due to Virat and Rahul's half-century along with the maiden century in ODIs for Shreyas lead India to 347-6 in 50 overs.

New Zealand's Bounce Back in ODIs

New Zealand bounced back hard and won the match in 48.2 overs. Henry Nicholls and Tom Latham's half-century along with Taylor's match-winning lead Kiwis to win the match quite comfortably. And in the very next match its Taylor who revived Kiwis along with the debutante Kyle Jamieson and Guptill. And lead New Zealand to a competitive total of 273-8.

Then the bowlers have done their fo NZ by departing Virat Kohli and KL Rahul early. Despite Shreyas Iyer and Jadeja's half-century India fall short of 22 runs and NZ won the match and series with 2-0 in the 3 matches series.

NZ's Rising Star Kyle Jamieson

Kyle Jamieson is a 6 feet 8 inches long fast bowler debuted in 2nd ODI match against India. He had a dream debut as he became the Player of the match for his contribution not only with the ball but also with the bat. Now will be looking for a whitewash in ODIs after a devastating T20 series in Ind tour of NZ 2020. Jamieson created the impact in the absence of all the Kiwis bowling stars.

New Zealand came into the field with a mindset of beating the team India by 3-0 and take revenge of the T20I series. But the Shreyas Iyer's half-century and Rahul's brilliant century lead India to set a competitive total. And once again a huge effort by the kiwi's openers helped the team in the run chase. But after the wicket of both openers, it was Colin de Grandhome's magnificent inning lead NZ to whitewash team India in ODIs after a long period of 31 years.

Henry Nicholls became the player of the match whereas Ross Taylor owned the Player of the series award.And also it's one all in India tour of New Zealand 2020 and winner of the tour will be decided by 2 matches Test series starting on 21st Feb.
