India's T20 Series against New Zealand started on 23th Jan 2020 in India Tour of New Zealand. The tour started with the T20 series where both the teams played a long series of 5 matches. And at the end, India beat New Zealand by 5-0 where India had never before won a T20 series. Indian Team was not at its best though they won the series with the team effort. New Zealand failed to grab the chances created after the 2nd T20I match.

India broke New Zealand's Dominance

Kiwis were in backfoot right from the start of the series and India won the first 2 matches quite comfortably. But New Zealand bounced back well in the 3rd T20I match and they were in a position to win the game.

But a magical spell bowled by Shami to take and defended the score by 1 run and the match was decided by a Super Over. It was first Super Over for Team India in the T20I game and New Zealand had a bad record in the super over. Although Kiwis bated well and set a target of 18 for India to win the match. Rohit and KL Rahul scored only 8 runs in 4 balls and then it's 10 more to score in 2 deliveries. And Rohit Sharma finished it off in style by hitting 2 consecutive sixes.

India sealed the series by 3-0 whereas in the 4th match New Zealand was once again in a position to win the match. But the spell bowled by Saini and Shardul once again put Kiwis in a super over. And here KL Rahul fulfilled the absence of Rohit to make India win the super over quite comfortably.

And in the 5th match, New Zealand panicked once more and lost the match by 7 runs. India whitewashed Kiwis by 5-0 and also broke New Zealand's dominance over Team India in T20Is.
