Fans have told that this photo is from the city of St. Pietermaritzburg in South Africa, where the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was forcibly taken down from the first class compartment of the train due to being black. In fact, Gandhi, known as Bapu, went to South Africa to advocate for a barrister's degree from London before entering the Indian independence movement.





South Africa was a British colony like India in those days, where blacks were treated discriminatorily. Blacks were not allowed to walk in the first-class compartment of the train. Once Bapu was going somewhere with the ticket of this compartment, he was forcibly taken down in the city of St Pietermaritzburg. Only after this, Bapu started the movement in South Africa, which made him famous all over the world. Only after being successful there, Bapu returned to India and took command of the country's independence campaign.
