New Delhi The removal of Deccan Chargers from IPL, one of the first eight teams of the Indian Premier League, has been heavily overshadowed BCCI. In this case, the court-appointed an arbitrator who has given his verdict against the BCCI. The arbitrator has imposed a fine of Rs 4800 crore on the BCCI. Deccan Chargers was previously owned by Deccan Chronicles Holdings (DCHL).





This is the case of 2012. A media group in Hyderabad then challenged IPL's decision to remove Deccan Chargers from the IPL team. On 15 September 2012, the Board convened an emergency meeting of the Governing Council of the league and removed Deccan Chargers from the IPL.

Deccan Chronicles Holdings went to the Bombay High Court against this decision. After the Deccan Chargers were removed from the league, the board started bidding for the Hyderabad franchise. The bid was won by Kalanidhi Maran of Sun TV Network. The High Court appointed retired Supreme Court judge CK Thakkar as arbitrator eight years ago. On Friday, Arbitrar made its decision in favor of Deccan Chronicles Holdings.





Let me tell you that when IPL was started in 2008, Deccan Chargers were one of the eight teams of the early season which remained in IPL till 2012. The Hyderabad-based team was dropped from the IPL in 2012 and after that Sun TV Network won the bid for the Hyderabad franchise and then came to the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. The Deccan Chargers team performed well and this team also won the IPL title in the second season.

Deccan Chargers won the IPL title in 2009 and the team was then led by Adam Gilchrist. Gilchrist was the captain of this team for the first three seasons and after that, the command of the team was given to Kumar Sangakkara.
