Cricket Australia selected a 26-member squad

On 13 March, the Australian team played their last international match. No matches were played worldwide since then, but international cricket started again on 8 July. A three-match Test series is being played between hosts England and the West Indies. After this, the England team has to play a three-match Test against Pakistan and the T20 series of the same number of matches. In such a situation, the Australian team also wants to tour England.

Actually, Australia was scheduled to play a limited overs series in England in the Future Tour program ie FTP in July, but due to Corona virus epidemic, the series has not been finalized yet. However, it is believed that the Australian team can tour England in September for the ODI and T20 series, for which negotiations are going on between the two boards. Meanwhile, Kangaroo Cricket has selected 26 players for the preparations for this tour.

On Thursday, Cricket Australia (CA) has selected a total of 26 players, including three uncapped players, who will practice. Out of these players, a 15-man squad will be selected for the tour of England. The uncapped players selected by the Kangaroo Cricket Board for training include Daniel Samms, Riley Meredith and Josh Philippi. The selector of the Australian team believes that if the tour of England is confirmed then the series will be in the Bio-Secure Environment.

Australia's final squad name will be announced when the tour is confirmed. The one-day international and T20 series previously scheduled for July are now likely to be held in September. Trevor Hohns, the team's chief selector, has said, "This preliminary list includes contingencies to play One-Day Internationals and T20 Internationals in bio-safe centers to allow for changes to the tour." The selector has also told that out of this, the team of T20 World Cup 2020 and ODI World Cup 2023 will be searched.
