Manchester: England declared their first innings score of 469 for 9 wickets on the second day of the second Test against the West Indies, with the help of magnificent centuries from Ben Stokes and Dom Sibley. In response, West Indies have scored 32 runs at the loss of one wicket. Craig Braithwaite scored 6 and Alzarri Joseph scored 14 runs. The first wicket of the Windies fell as John Campbell who returned to the pavilion on the score of just 12 runs. Sam Curran took 1 wicket for England.

The second day of Ol Trafford was named after Ben Stokes and Dom Sibley, who gave England tremendous strength in the first innings. Stokes played a very restrained 176 runs in 356 balls, while Sibley also supported Stokes and contributed 120 runs. Sibley completed his century in 312 balls, which is England's 5th slowest century since 1990. After his dismissal, England batsmen scored very fast in the second session. Jose Butler hit a 40-run knock and silenced his critics.





At the same time, Roston Chase was the most successful bowler with 5 wickets from the West Indies, although he proved to be very expensive too as he took 172 runs in the first innings.
