The statement further said, "It has also been noted that the hosting rights of the Asia Cup of 2020 were changed by the Pakistan Cricket Board with the Sri Lanka Cricket Board. Under this arrangement, the tournament postponed in 2020 was held in Sri Lanka in June 2021. Pakistan will host the 2022 Asia Cup. "
