 The start for MI was not so good as they lost their top 2 batsman in the powerplay by scoring only 30 runs. De Kock struggled to score runs and got out after scoring 19 runs of 18 balls with 1 four and a six. MI continued to loose wickets in quick intervals at one end whereas on the other end Pollard scored some good runs for team and he was also dropped by Rashid Khan on 8 runs in the of Bhuvneswar Kumar. And at the Pollard showed the indies power and finished up scoring 46 runs of 26 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes which helped the team to set a competitive total of 136-7 in 20 overs.

          Siddharth kaul picked 2 wickets but conceded 34 runs in his 4 overs. Bhuvneswar, Sandeep and Nabi got 1 wicket each.

 The most promising opening pair of Vivo IPL SEASON 12 came to bat and gave a decent start to the team by scoring 33 runs of 3.4 overs for the first wicket and Jonny Bairstow who was in good form in the season was sent back to pavilion by Rahul Chahar on 16 runs (3 fours) of 10 balls and in the very next over Alzarri Joseph departed David Warner on 15 runs of 13 balls. After the openers wicket once again the middle order batsman failed to score and SRH lost wickets from both the ends other than Deepak Hooda no batsman could reach the 20 run mark and the whole team was wrapped up by the MI bowlers on 96 runs in 17.4 overs and MI won the match by 40 runs as because Alzarri Joseph bowled the best spell in the entire IPL where he picked 6 wickets conceding only 12 runs in 3.4 overs on his debut match.
