Than a partnership between KL Rahul and David Miller accelerated the scoreboard and scored 85 runs in 9.3 overs for the 3rd wicket where KL Rahul completed another half century in the season and was sent back to pavilion on 52 runs (3 fours, 2 sixes) of 47 balls by Unadkat. Miller and Ashwin helped the team to set a total of 182-6 in 20 overs where Miller scored 40 runs (2 fours, 2 sixes) of 27 balls and Ashwin scored unbeaten 17 runs (1 four, 2 sixes) of 4 balls.
Jofra Archer was sensational with the ball where he picked 3 wickets conceding only 15 runs in his 4 overs. Dawal Kulkarni, Unadkat and Ish Sodhi got 1 wicket each.

Rajasthan Royals changed the batting order and started the with Rahul Tripathi and Jos Buttler, as of which RR managed to score 54 runs and lost the wicket of Jos Buttler who scored 23 runs (1 four, 2 sixes) of 17 balls and departed by Ashwin. Rahul Tripathi batted sensibly with Sanju Samson who scored 27 runs (2 fours) of 21 balls and he got out by Ashwin. Rahane came on to bat at no.4 but also lost 2 more quick wicket which changed the momentum of the match and Rahane tried to accelerate but got out by Arshdeep Singh on 26 runs (1 four) of 21 balls. Stuart Binni at the end played some shots and scored quick unbeaten 37 runs (2 fours, 3 sixes) of 11 balls but couldn't take the team ahead of finishing line as they scored total of 170-7 in 20 overs and lost the match by 12 runs. R Ashwin M Shami and Arshdeep Singh picked 2 wickets each and Murugan Ashwin got 1 wicket.
