48th Match of VIVO IPL Season 12, SRH vs KXIP in Hyderabad

   The 48th Match of VIVO IPL Season 12, SRH vs KXIP was played on Mon 29th April 2019 in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. KXIP won the toss and elected to field first.

             David Warner started the inning with Wriddhiman Saha who showed some good hitting ability and scored 77 runs in the powerplay along with David Warner without losing any wicket but just after the powerplay, Murugan Ashwin gave the breakthrough by departing Saha on 28 runs (3 fours, 1 six) of 13 balls. David Warner was playing his last match of the season and showed the same intent as he was known for by completing his 6th half-century in his last 7 matches and also scored 82 runs for the 2nd wicket along with Manish Pandey but in the 16th over which was bowled by R Ashwin where he picked the wickets of both the set batsman Manish Pandey on 36 runs (3 fours, 1 six) of 25 balls and David Warner on 81 runs (7 fours, 2 sixes) of 56 balls who was playing shots all around the park. Even after 2 big wickets scoreboard kept going as M Nabi scored 20 runs off 10 balls and Kane Williamson scored 14 runs off 7 balls as a result of which the team SRH set a huge total of 212-6 in 20 overs.

The bowlers bowled well at the end but couldn't restrict SRH below 200, where Shami and R Ashwin got 2 wickets each and M Ashwin and Arshdeep Singh got 1 wicket each. Muzeeb was too expensive as he conceded 66 runs in 4 overs without picking any wicket.

KXIP'S Inning in 48th Match of VIVO IPL Season 12, SRH vs KXIP in Hyderabad

 The start was not as good as they needed in the match as they lost the wicket of Chris Gayle (universe boss) in the 3rd over of the inning and was departed by Khaleel Ahmed on 4 runs of 3 balls. KL Rahul built a partnership of 60 runs along with Mayank Agarwal but in the 9th over Rashid Khan picked the wicket Mayank Agarwal who scored 27 runs (2 fours, 1 six) of 18 balls. Wickets falling at regular intervals at one end whereas at the other KL Rahul tried to take the score closer to the target but no other batsman contributed much as result of which KL Rahul's 79 runs (4 fours, 5 sixes) of 56 balls gone in vain and the team Punjab lost the match by 36 runs as KXIP scored 167-8 in 20 overs.

 Once again Rashid Khan shines with the ball as he picked 3 wickets in his 4 overs conceding 24 runs and Khaleel Ahmed too got 3 wickets in the match whereas Sandeep Sharma got 2 wickets which helped SRH to step ahead in the race of playoffs.

David Warner was the Player of the match for his consistent performance right from the start of the season as well as in the 48th Match of VIVO IPL Season 12, SRH vs KXIP in Hyderabad.
