Notice to CAC | Selection of  Ravi Shastri as Head Coach of Indian Cricket Team

DK Jain, the Ethics Officer of BCCI sent an official notice to CAC led by Kapil Dev. The notice is for conflict of interest in reappointing extending the tenure of  Ravi Shastri as the head coach of the Indian Cricket Team till the T20I World Cup 2021 by CAC.

The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) consists of three members Sanath Rangaswamy, Anshuman Gaekwad along Kapil Dev who picked the current India coach to respond by October 10 to the Conflict of Interest allegations leveled against them.

Suspension of Prithvi Shaw for Doping Violation

All three members of CAC has been alleged for conflict of interest. Kapil Dev conflicted as he is a commentator, owner of a floodlight Company along with a member of  Indian Cricket Association (ICA). Gaekwad conflicted as he owns an academy and is also a member of the BCCI Affiliation Committee. And Rangaswamy, a former Women's cricket team's captain is alleged to be conflicted for her multiple in CAC as well as in ICA.

 As per the BCCI Constitution, no individual can hold more than one post at the same time. So if they failed to justify themselves, a new committee may be formed to reappoint the head Coach of India.
