Bangladesh cancel Sri Lanka tour, postponed series with New Zealand




New Delhi Bangladesh Cricket Board on Wednesday decided to cancel the tour of Sri Lanka in view of rising cases of the Corona epidemic. The Bangladesh team was to go to Sri Lanka to play the Test series in July, which the board has decided to cancel at present. Former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza has also been found to be corona infected.

On Tuesday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board had informed that it was not ready to host the New Zealand team. The tour of the Kiwi team is currently being postponed due to the outbreak of Corona infection. Now-a-days, the board has informed that their team will not go to Sri Lanka. The plan to postpone the three-Test series in July has been decided for the time being.





The International Cricket Council has also confirmed this news. The ICC has given an official Twitter account of the postponement of Bangladesh's Sri Lanka tour. It has been written that the decision has been taken to postpone the Bangladesh cricket team's tour of Sri Lanka next month.
