BCCI is Planning to Organize IPL 2020 from 26 September

New Delhi There are reports about IPL 2020 i.e. Indian Premier League that BCCI is planning to organize IPL from 26th September this year. Recently, Chairman of the Board, Sourav Ganguly had made it clear that he is committed to making this league at any cost and it can be done without any audience. On the other hand, Cricket Australia has also clarified on Tuesday that the T20 World Cup 2020 event looks unrealistic this year.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, IPL 2020 can be held from late September to early November. It is expected that it will be held from 26 September and can be held till 8 November. This date is subject to possible postponement/cancellation of the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. Most of the IPL matches starting in September will be played in South India as the monsoon will not be too severe at that time.

In such a situation, it is expected that Chennai and Bangalore are at the forefront of the race to host it. Although Mumbai was BCCI's first choice, the ever-increasing number of Kovid 10 infected in this city made the organizers difficult. However, it is also being said that if the situation improves, then half of IPL can be done in Mumbai.

Mumbai is BCCI's first choice as it has four international stadiums. Many hotels here are close to the stadium which will ease the players, but the growing case of Kovid 19 has disappointed the IPL managers. Not only this, it is also being expected that it can be organized in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu on the KPL and TNPL's Venue. It is also being said in the report that IPL teams have not been officially informed about this, but these options are being discussed informally.
