New Delhi Cricket Australia has terminated the agreement of board CEO Kevin Roberts. The Australian Cricket Board has tentatively appointed Nick Hockley as CEO of the board. Kevin Roberts has been replaced by Chief Executive of the T20 World Cup, Nick Hockley. Cricket Australia Chairman Earl Eddings announced the removal of Kevin Roberts on Tuesday. Despite that, his contract was still 18 months old.

Englishman Hawkley, who led the T20 World Cup Organizing Committee, has been appointed as CA's interim chief, while the organization is looking for a permanent new chief. Hawkley has said, "While it's a difficult time, to take this role is as big a privilege as an absolute privilege." Roberts is the third CEO of a major Australian sports department to exit during the Coronavirus crisis after Todd Greenberg (NRL) and Raelyn Castle (Rugby Australia). Both Greenberg and Castle departed in the last two months.

The Australia Cricket Board has become increasingly desperate to deal with Roberts' financial collapse due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Roberts was given the top job in October 2018 following James Sutherland's 17-year tenure, with former Cricket NSW President John Warne, CA Director John Harden, and WACA Chief Executive Christina Matthews. Cricket Australia has suffered huge losses due to the Coronavirus epidemic and further, there is a big crisis in front of the board, because all the sources of income are closed.
