Similarly, online fantasy league platform Dream-11 and payment app Paytm is also one of the authorized partners of IPL. Chinese company Tencent, one of the world's largest video game companies, has a large stake in Dream-11, while Chinese e-commerce joint Alibaba has bought a 37.15 percent stake in Paytm. Tencent also holds 5.27 percent shares in Swiggy, which is present in the IPL as an associate sponsor.





In order to sponsor the Indian cricket team, the online study app Bijus has given Rs 1,079 crore for a five-year sponsorship deal with BCCI. Tencent has a major stake in Byzus. Similarly, Paytm also gives BCCI Rs 3.8 crore per match to be the title sponsor of every match of Team India. Dream-11 is also an authorized sponsor of BCCI. However, BCCI treasurer Arun Singh Dhumal says that at present, relations with all the sponsors are secure. We have not yet received instructions from the government to stop anything.

Although the BCCI may be saying its relationship with its sponsors is safe, the truth is that the announcement of the Indian Olympic Association has increased the pressure on the cricket board. IOA Secretary Rajiv Mehta has said that he is going to end the contract of Chinese badminton producer Li Ning (Li Ning) as a sponsor of the Indian Olympic team. They have said that the country is the first, not the sponsors.
