Know Why Sachin Tendulkar never advertise alcohol and tobacco

New Delhi: Sachin Tendulkar (Lord of Cricket) never advertise any tobacco or alcohol product during his career or after retirement. There was a big reason behind this decision of Sachin. In fact, Sachin had promised his father Ramesh Tendulkar that he would not advertise brands related to alcohol or tobacco because all these products have the wrong effect in society and the youngsters get the wrong message.

Here Sachin also told that it is not that he did not get a chance to contract with companies related to these products. Sachin himself disclosed this, saying that many big tobacco and liquor brands had offered him to promote their products, but he turned down all those offers. Sachin promised his father not to support anything wrong which he has done till date.

During a conversation with a TV channel, Sachin said, 'I made a promise to my father many years ago that I will never promote such brands, due to which the younger generation who consider me as their role model Be attracted to these things. That's why I always stayed away from them. My father told me many years ago that now you are on your way to becoming a role model. People would like to follow you. Therefore, never do anything that will send a wrong message in the society.

Sachin further said, 'In my 24-year-long career, there came a time when I played without a stick. Then I got offers from some such brands. But I never broke my promise to my father. Many brands have even said that one or two years, do not make a contract for the right one or two series only. But I never did that.
