Younis Khan appointed as batting coach of Pakistan for England tour




Younis Khan, the most successful Test player and former captain of Pakistan team, has been given a big responsibility by the Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB. Younis Khan has been appointed the batting coach of the Pakistan team. However, Younis Khan has only been appointed the batting coach of the team for the tour of England, as the Pakistan team has to tour England for the first time after the Corona virus.





The Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday confirmed the appointment of Younis Khan as the batting coach. Apart from Younis Khan, the PCB has selected 25 Test match veteran spinner Mushtaq Ahmed as the spin bowling coach and mentor of the team.

Mushtaq has also been appointed only for the tour of England, where the series of 3 Tests and 3 T20 International matches between the two teams are to be played in August-September.





These appointments have been made to provide necessary and needed resources to Pakistan team head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and fast bowling coach Waqar Younis who can help them further the team's performance.





In addition, as part of the tour arrangements, additional players will be sent to England, who will be equally capable of providing the best training and preparation opportunities to the players.

PCB chief executive Wasim Khan has said, "I am delighted that none of Younis Khan's stature and unbelievable batting record have agreed to join the Pakistan cricket team as the batting coach of the national men's team."
