BCCI prepared IPL 2020 schedule

The Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council will meet on August 2. This meeting will finalize the schedule of the competition to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this year. It will discuss the problems faced by the eight teams of IPL, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and the entire program.

The BCCI has announced the tournament to be played between September 19 and November 8, but has not revealed which match will take place. However, according to sources, the schedule has been prepared and will be placed before the teams. After that it will be officially announced. It is believed that it will be officially announced in the meeting of the IPL Governing Council on August 2.

The BCCI official said that during the meeting, all the eight franchises will get a clear picture regarding the manner of the tournament. It is expected that the SOP will also be handed over to the franchisee after the meeting. Apart from BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jai Shah, IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel will also participate in this meeting. Issues related to various stakeholders will be discussed in it. The term of Ganguly and Shah has ended, but both of them have appealed to the Supreme Court for relaxation in the terms of cooling period of the Lodha Committee, which will be heard on August 17.

Matches will be held in vacant stadiums. In such a situation, the loss from the gate money (ticket revenue) to the franchisee will also be discussed. Franchises are being questioned on behalf of the players whether they can take their families along and this matter is gaining momentum. This will also be discussed.

Expect to get permission from the home ministry and foreign ministry

The BCCI has received the green signal for IPL from the Sports Ministry, but approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs and External Affairs is yet to be received. The BCCI official said that the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs will get permission to organize IPL. Since the Government of India's relations with the UAE is better, it is believed that there will be no problem in organizing. Earlier in 2014 also the Indian Premier League was held in the UAE.
