England registers biggest Test win over West Indies





New Delhi The England cricket team performed brilliantly in the Manchester Test, winning a big win against the West Indies by 269 runs. With this victory, the team captured the Wisden Trophy 2–1. England returned to the series after losing the first match and won the trophy by winning both consecutive matches. This is England's biggest Test win so far in terms of runs recorded on the Windies team.

On the fifth day of Manchester Test, England bowled West Indies for just 129 runs on the basis of excellent bowling. After scoring 369 runs in the first innings, England declared an innings by scoring 226 runs in the second innings and gave the West Indies a huge target of 399 runs. On the fourth day of the match, not a single over could be bowled due to rain.





In 37.1 overs on the fifth day, the entire West Indies team was reduced to 129 runs and England won the match by a big margin by 269 runs. Stuart Broad was the star bowler of the match, taking 6 wickets in the first innings and 4 wickets in the second.





England broke 61 year old record





In terms of runs, this is England's biggest win in the Test against the West Indies so far. Earlier in the year 1959–60 and then in 2004, England defeated West Indies by 256 runs. Leaving both these records behind, the English team created new history in 2020.
