The Pakistan cricket team, which is in England to play three Tests and as many T20Is in August and September, will have the Shahid Afridi Foundation logo on their playing kit. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly struggled to find the sponsor of the team. A sponsor was required for the side after their last sponsorship contract with a recently concluded beverage company.

Former Pakistan team captain Shahid Afridi himself has informed that the logo of his foundation will be put on the shirts of the players of Pakistan. Afridi tweeted, "We are happy that the logo of Shaheed Afridi Foundation will be printed on Pakistan's playing kit, as we are the charity partner of Pakistan Cricket Board. Thanks to Wasim Khan and thank you for the continued support of PCB. Our team Wishing Ko to be unbeaten on the England tour. "

Pakistan journalist Saj Sadiq further said that Shahid Afridi will sponsor the Foundation logo as well as a few more on the players' kit during their tour of England. According to a Cricket Pakistan report, only one company showed interest during the recent bidding process by PCB for the sponsorship. It added that the company valued the deal by only 30 percent compared to the previous contract. However, the logo of the Shahid Afridi Foundation will be for the England series only.
