The first Test being played between England and Pakistan at the Ages Bowl Stadium in Manchester has reached a turning point. After scoring 326 runs, Pakistan first sent England to the pavilion for 219 runs on the third day of the match, but after that, the hosts took eight wickets of Pakistan to bring the match to an exciting turn.

By the end of the day's play, Pakistan had lost eight wickets for 137 runs in the second innings. However, Pakistan took a lead of 244 runs on the basis of 107 runs in the first innings. Pakistan's team, taking a lead of 107 runs, could not do anything special in the second innings. Opener Shaan Masood was out for a single off Stuart Broad. After this, Abid Ali was also sent to the pavilion by Dominic Bess for 20 runs.

Chris Woakes gave a big blow to Pakistan by walking Babar Azam for seven runs. Azhar Ali was also sent to the pavilion by Vox for 18 runs. Asad Shafiq was then run out on a brilliant effort from Bess. Shafiq returned to the pavilion after scoring 29 runs. After this, Muhammad Rizwan 27, Shadab Khan 15, and Shaheen Shah Afridi returned for two runs. Broad, Vox, and Stokes took two wickets each for England.

Earlier, on Friday, the second-day scores of 92 runs ahead of the four-wicket England team was handled by Olly Pop (62) and Jos Buttler (38). Both shared a 65-run partnership for the fifth wicket. However, on the third day of the match, England was broken by sending Pop to the pavilion.

Pop hit seven fours in 117 balls. By lunch, England had scored 159 for five and lost just one wicket in the first session of the third day, but England's condition deteriorated after lunch. The batsmen succumbed to Pakistan's leg-spinner Yasir Shah, who resides in England, and from here England started trailing in the first innings.

After lunch, Shah was bowled cleanly by Shah on a brilliant ball. Butler hit five fours while playing 108 balls. Butler missed Shah's brilliant ball. It became difficult for England to recover from here.

Shah then took the wickets of Dominic Bess (01) and Chris Woakes (19), opening the way for Pakistan to lead in the first innings. Shadab Khan took the last two wickets of Jofra Archer (16) and James Anderson (07) to take England's innings to 217 runs. Apart from Yasir for Pakistan, Abbas and Shadab took two wickets each.
