A board source told PTI that visiting Sri Lanka is not correct in the current situation. This has been confirmed by a press release from Sri Lanka. On behalf of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, it has been said that BCCI has told Sri Lanka Cricket that it is not possible to do this cricket series in the current situation due to the Kovid 19 epidemic in which the three-match ODI and T20 series of the same match was to be played.





However, this cricket series was expected to be canceled as the training of Indian players has not started yet. At the same time, the number of corona infected people is increasing in India and till now more than 8000 people have died. Anyway, it was being said that the players have been away from cricket for a long time and to return to international cricket they need one to one and a half months so that they can be ready to play cricket at this level.

The training camp of Indian players had not started yet, in such a situation, taking part in a cricket series suddenly could prove fatal for the players as it could increase the chances of players getting injured.
