Cricket returns to South Africa with 3TC Solidarity Cup

Johannesburg: South Africa's top fast bowler Kagiso Rabada and all-rounder Chris Moris will not be able to play in the first 3 Team Cricket (3 TC) Solidarity Cup. Cricket will also return to the country from this match to be held in Centurion on Saturday. The 33-year-old Maurice will not be present for the match to be held at Supersport Park.

In place of these three players, Thando Ntini (Kingfishers), Beon Fortin (Eagles) and Gerald Koetji (Kingfishers), son of former South African fast bowler Makhaya Ntini, have been added to the teams. In Rabada's absence Henrique classes will lead the Kingfishers. AB de Villiers (Eagles) and Quinton de Kock (Kites) are the other captains.

The match was earlier scheduled for June 27 but was postponed in view of the Kovid-19 epidemic. The top 24 cricketers from South Africa will participate in the Solidarity Cup, which is divided into three teams. These three teams will play in the same match.

Each team will have 8 players and the match will be in two halves. There will be 18-18 overs in each part. Each team will bat 12 overs but it will be divided into 2 parts of 6-6 overs. In this way each team will face each other.
