MSK Prasad selected 26-member Indian team for Australia tour

MSK Prasad selected 26-member Indian team for Australia tour 2020: Team India will visit Australia later this year where they have to play the first four-match Test series. After this, the Indian team will play a series of three ODIs. The Test series will begin in Brisbane from 3 December, while the second Test will be played in Adelaide from 11 December, the third Test in Melbourne on 26 December, and the last Test in Sydney on 3 January 2021. After the end of the Test series, a series of three ODIs will be played between the two countries from January 12 to 17 next year.

Every cricket fan is waiting for India's tour of Australia, but for this tour, former chief selector MSK Prasad said that the tour should send a large number of players to Team India. He said that along with the main players, India A players should also be sent to this team. For this he also selected 26 players of his choice who should go for this tour. These players include players from both the Test and ODI teams, but they kept MS Dhoni out of the team. He also did not select Shikhar Dhawan as the opener.

While Prasad included Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Prithvi Shaw and KL Rahul as openers in his team, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer were included for batting in the middle order.

Prasad argued that moving more players would be good for the team in every respect. If there is any player problem during the tour then we will have a strong backup. At the same time, he said that for the practice also Indian batsmen will not have much trouble because there will be good bowlers. He also said that due to the bowlers of A team, the main bowlers will not have to face much workload.
