Sanjeev Gupta resigned from MPCA

Kapish Dubey, Indore (Naiduniya Representative). MP Cricket Association (MPCA) member Sanjeev Gupta, who came into the limelight after he complained of a conflict of interest against many of the country's legendary cricketers, including Indian captain Virat Kohli, has resigned from the membership of the organization. Only two MPA members complained against Gupta.

MPCA Secretary Sanjeev Rao said that Sanjeev Gupta's resignation was received on Saturday. A show cause notice was sent against him on the complaint of the organization members. In response, he resigned from the membership for life. It will now be placed before the managing committee. This is the first time any member in the organization has resigned.

Senior MPCA members Dilip Witchgar and Prasoon Kanmadikar found intricacies from the book of law against Gupta, who surrounded many people in legal matters. While Witchgar is an old player in the politics of cricket, Prasoon, a legal advisor by profession, is considered to be knowledgeable in matters related to the recommendations of the Lodha Committee. Prasoon's father Milind has also been the secretary of MPCA while grandfather Anantwagesh Kanmadikar was the secretary of BCCI. He alleged against Gupta that he non-necessarily referred to himself as an MPCA member, which was against the organization's rules. This sometimes spoils the organization's name.

Gupta had complained of a conflict of interest against Virat Kohli. The investigation in this case is under consideration. Apart from this, Gupta had complained of conflict of interest against many veterans like Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid, Kapil Dev, Sourav Ganguly etc. After which he had to leave his post. Recently, he also complained to Ganguly on the post of BCCI president and Jai Shah on the post of secretary. Investigation is also under consideration in this case.

Appeal to give good honorarium to coaches and selectors

Gupta also increased the MPCA's troubles on the go. He wrote with his resignation, 'I am resigning from the lifetime membership of MPCA. My last appeal to you is to follow the Supreme Court guidelines 100 percent. Also, give a good honorarium to all coaches and selectors of MPCA. It is noteworthy that the honorarium of coaches and selectors remains a sore vein of the MPCA. There is resentment in the organization for giving a thick fee of one crore to Chandrakant Pandit of Mumbai. While other coaches and selectors of the state are paid a nominal fee in comparison.
