Eddings has cited the magnitude of the epidemic for not organizing the T20 World Cup this year. Proposal for 2 events in next 2 years

Traditionally, at present, the T20 World Cup is being held once every two years. But Eddings had proposed to the ICC to organize two T20 World Cups in the next two years by email. He proposed that Australia should organize it in October-November 2021 and let India organize it after one year in 2022. Eddings says that it will be financially beneficial for all member states. He has also warned that if this does not happen and the World Cup is canceled this year, it will prove very harmful for cricket.

ICC postponed decision

The ICC is also not ready to postpone the T20 World Cup this year due to economic reasons.
