The T20I World Cup 2019 will be held in 4 faces which will start fromthe first round where the teams like Sri Lanka Afghanistan etc will fight to qualify in the Super 12. After the first round, the Super 12 starts from 24th of October 2020. The top 4 teams will qualify for the Semi's and will be played on 11th and 12th November. The final will be held on 15 November 2019.
Must Read: First World T20 Champions 2007 The top 8 teams in ICC T20 rankings as of 31st December 2018. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh couldn't qualify for Super 12, instead of placing them in the group stage, they will be joined with 6 more teams who qualifies for the tournament via T20 World Cup Qualifier. Then the top 4 teams of first round will be added to the Super 12. Total 16 teams will be participating in ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2020.
Papua New Guinea was the first team to qualify directly for the 2020 Men's ICC T20 World Cup, after they won Group A of the qualifier tournament, finishing above the Netherlands on net run rate. It was the first time that Papua New Guinea had qualified for a World Cup in any format. Ireland was the next to qualify directly to the Men's T20 World Cup, after they won Group B of the qualifier tournament, also on net run rate.
Teams Qualified ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers
In the first qualifier match in the playoffs, the Netherlands qualified for the Men's T20 World Cup when they beat the United Arab Emirates by eight wickets, after the UAE only scored 80 runs in their innings. The second qualifier match saw Namibia advance to their first T20 World Cup after beating Oman by 54 runs. Scotland beat tournament hosts the United Arab Emirates in the third qualifer by 90 runs to secure their place in the T20 World Cup. Oman become the last team to qualify for the Men's T20 World Cup, after they narrowly beat Hong Kong by 12 runs in the last qualifier
