During the T20 World Cup in March, Perry had a hamstring injury that prevented him from playing in the semi-finals against South Africa and the final against India. The Australian women's team will now host New Zealand in September and Perry is likely to be fit by then. But the 29-year-old allrounder told Cricket.Com.au that she will not return until she is sure of doing her best.
Perry, who has played 8 Tests, 112 ODIs and 120 T20 Internationals so far for Australia, said, "As far as the return is concerned, if I am fit for the series against New Zealand and available for selection, then it will be good. But after returning from injury, there is a clear difference in my mind about being fit to play and being in better form to perform well.

She said, 'If I don't play in those matches (series against New Zealand), then I will not be sad. When I return to the game again, I want to be in a position to contribute to the team and perform well. I just don't want to get fit and get on the field. '
