The fifth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) had to be postponed for the second time due to the Covid-19 pandemic and now TNCA is hoping to host the T20 cricket tournament either in November this year or in March next year.

The popular T20 league tournament was scheduled to be held from June 10 to July 12, but was postponed by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) in May as the number of corona virus cases in the state was then high.





TNCA wanted the event to be held in late July and September, but it was not in a position to host the tournament as the health crisis escalated. TNCA Honorary Secretary RS Ramasamy said in the release, 'TNCA was looking at the window from the end of July / August to the end of September that the fifth stage of the TNPL tournament could be played in this potential window, but the existing Kovid-19 in Tamil Nadu Given the related issues, TNCA will not be in a position to host the tournament in this window.
