Virat Kohli has this unique bowling record

From the batting of Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli to his fielding, you will see thousands of fans who praise him, but no one talks about his bowling. If you are told that in the name of Virat, who filled the record book with the bat, there is also a record for bowling which no one in the world has made other than him, then you will probably be shocked. But this is true. Virat Kohli is the only bowler in the world whose bowled ball did not find a place in the score book, but the wicket of the batsman who got out on that ball has been recorded in the account of the Indian captain.

This unique charisma was shown under Dhoni's captaincy

Actually, Virat Kohli showed this feat during Team India's tour of England in 2011. He made this unique record by taking the wicket of Kevin Pieterson in a T20 series match under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni on this tour. Dhoni gave Virat a chance to bowl in the 8th over in this match played on 31 August 2011. Peterson was present on the wicket in front of Kohli.

The medium-fast bowler, Virat, threw the first ball of the over of the leg stump, which Peterson came out of the crease in a round of leg glans. There was so much opportunity for Dhoni and he immediately stumped Pietersen. The umpire dismissed Peterson but declared this ball of Virat wide. In this way, Virat made a world record for taking wickets in his career without throwing a single valid ball. Virat took 1 wicket for 22 runs in 3 overs in this match, but Team India lost this match by 6 wickets.

Even though Kohli had taken the wicket in the T20 International without throwing a valid ball, in ODIs, Kohli had to bowl 22 overs to take his first wicket. He also got his first wicket in ODIs on the same England tour of 2011, when he bowled the then English captain and veteran batsman Alastair Cook on his swing in the ODI match played in Cardiff on 16 September 2011.

It was the 18th of England's innings and Kohli's first over in the match. Interestingly, on the fourth ball of the 18th over, Kohli trapped Cook in an attempt to do a paddle sweep but was caught by Rahul Dravid at short fine leg. After this, Virat bowled Cook on the next ball and converted the gum of missing this catch in celebration.
