KL Rahul and Chris Gayle came to crease and Dawal Kulkarni departed KL Rahul in the 4th ball of the match. But Chris Gayle played steadily and built a partnership of 56 runs with Mayank Agarwal. Mayank scored 22 runs off 24 balls and departed by K Gautam. Gayle shifted the momentum with a partnership of 84 runs. Gayle played some huge shots but got scoring 79 runs (8 fours, 4 sixes) off 57 balls to Ben Stokes. At the end of the inning Sarfaraz Khan batted aggressively. And scored 46* runs (6 fours, 1six) of 29 balls which helped the team to set a score of 184-4 in 20 overs.

RR Innings of 4th Match OF VIVO IPL SEASON 12, RR vs KXIP
Ajinkya Rahane along with Jos Buttler came in and gave a huge start to the team by scoring 78 runs for the first wicket. Ashwin break the partnership by departing Rahane on 27 runs (4 fours) of 20 balls. But Buttler looked good and played some good shots along with Sanju Samson.
While Buttler was on crease it looked like the match was under control of Rajasthan. But the trick of Ashwin to mankad Buttler which shifted the momentum of the match. Ashwin departed Butler on 69 runs (10 fours, 2 sixes) of 43 balls. Sam Curran who was very expressive in the previous 3 overs departed two set batsman. Steve Smith departed on 20 runs off 16 balls and Samson on 30 runs (a six) off 25 balls. Rajasthan Royals at the end of the inning lost wickets at regular intervals As a result of which RR managed to score 170-9 in 20 overs and lose the match by 14 runs.

The bowlers bowled brilliantly where Sam Curran, Muzeeb UR Rahman and Ankit Rajput picked 2 wickets each and Ashwin got 1 wicket.
