KL Rahul said He wanted to be selfish after return from Ban & Play for himself

New Delhi KL Rahul is one of the best players of Team India and now he is playing the role of wicketkeeper-batsman in the team. KL Rahul, who debuted for India in 2016, came into the limelight during a TV show last year over controversial statements and after that he and Hardik Pandya were banned by the BCCI. Although he returned to Team India after a few days, he was not able to bat very well after his return.

KL Rahul now spoke on his return to the team after that incident and explained why he was consistently failing in batting after the ban. He said that he had become selfish after making a comeback in the team and he started focusing only on himself, due to which he was failing. Due to continuous failure in batting, he realized that he was not playing with the right mindset.

Rahul told that after this he left worrying about his performance and started playing according to what the team wants from him. Because of this thinking, he once again regained his confidence and form. He said that the credit for my consistently good performance goes to the point that after 2019 I started thinking differently.

He said that after the TV show incident and ban, I had become selfish and wanted to play only for myself. I failed because of focusing on myself and only on my score. After this I told myself that I need to get out of this and do what the team wants from me. Rahul said these things while talking to India Today.

He said that the cricketer's career is not very long and after 2019 I felt that I can play 11-12 years more right now. During this time I will spend all my strength and time in becoming a better player and team man. Due to my thinking, my pressure was also reduced and I started focusing on the team's interest.
