The International Cricket Council on Monday decided to postpone the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia for a year. With this decision of the ICC, the way of organizing the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, the T20 tournament of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, was cleared. On Tuesday, IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel informed that the tournament will be held in the UAE. Permission has been sought from the Government of India for this.

IPL Chairman Brajesh Patel has informed that the tournament will not be held in India but abroad, now just waiting for the permission from the Government of India. The news of the postponement of the T20 World Cup after the Asia Cup has now cleared the way for the Indian Premier League to be held. The Asia Cup was to be played in September and the T20 World Cup in October-November.
Speaking to Cricbuzz, Patel said, "We have written to the government for permission to hold the tournament in the UAE. So far the dates have not been finalized and will be decided in the next IPL General Meeting. To be done in ten days. "

IPL postponed due to corona
The tournament was to be held this year from 29 March but due to the spread of Corona virus infection, the BCCI decided to postpone it. It has been made clear by the board that it is to be organized between September and November. Now the dates have not been decided as the ICC has not decided on the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia.
