He said, 'As if it is to be organized, we will have to take a final decision on it so that we can spend all our resources for the world level tournament to be held in February. The 8-team one-day tournament will be played in New Zealand from 6 February to 7 March. The tournament will be played in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.

The ICC has canceled the men's T20 World Cup to be held in Australia from 18 October to 15 November this year due to the coronavirus. Barclay has said that New Zealand is the only country in the world that can organize matches in packed stadiums. He, however, said that before hosting the tournament to be held next summer, it is necessary to clear some obstacles.

He said, 'How will you arrange the traffic of teams coming from all over the world. If they have to come here from other countries, what will be the rules regarding this? After this they will be quarantined and obviously it will cost a lot, so the budget will be much higher in the tournament to be held in February. Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa and India have qualified for the tournament. 8 teams will play in the round robin format and the top four teams will reach the semi-finals.
